Mathias comes from an advertising background in the music industry. After venturing into musical instrument wholesale, he moved to the advertising side of things in the late 90s. He then spent over 20 years in open source, bridging the gap between development and business. Since 2023, he has served the Magento community as the Executive Director of the Magento Association. In his few hours away from Magento, he tries to master the guitar while co-parenting in Düsseldorf, Germany.
