Mage-OS

Mage-OS is an open initiative to ensure the availability, longevity and success of the Magento® platform and ecosystem. It includes an eCommerce product and a non-profit organization. The Mage-OS distribution is a backward-compatible, lightweight version of Magento open source packages. It includes changes and new features compared to Magento, contributed by volunteers like you. Our goal is to maintain compatibility with all existing Magento 2 extensions and integrations as much as possible. The Mage-OS Association is the new home for the Magento community. Our main goal is to keep the fire alive and continue to nurture it through contributions to the Mage-OS product and content showing how Magento is still widely used and offers endless opportunities to lower the total cost of ownership for eCommerce merchants.
