I firmly believe that entrepreneurs have the power to introduce positive change in the world. This belief has been the driving force behind my work and my commitment to creating innovative solutions.

I am an Electronics and Telecommunication Department alumnus at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. I have 20 years of professional experience in the software development industry. I started working with Apache Lucene-based Apache SOLR in 2008 as a software engineer at the biggest price comparison website in Germany and the UK. Then, I continued my search engine journey as an engineer at Microsoft Poland, working on Bing Shopping search algorithms.

Since my first contact with Magento (version 1.3), I have been continuing to implement the best search experience for eCommerce customers using Apache SOLR, ElasticSearch and OpenSearch.

In my opinion, the most crucial feature of an online shop is to display a product that a customer is looking for.
My mission is to educate how to implement search functionals correctly and in a powerful manner. I think that “AI-boosted search engine” is not a magic solution for poorly implemented search engines.

I am a fan of bike expeditions to the bosom of nature, where I find inspiration for my work and life.
